Laying of wood flooring for the Aula Magna of the university

In 2010 the state university at Brescia has designed, within a recently built multipurpose building, a new facility designed to accomodate the Aula Magna of the University of Medicine.

In the project, MAST was involved with the flooring which required particular attention to acoustic and fire protection. The requirments were directed to the choice of a flooring Mondo List One: a real wood veneer, naturally anti-static, consisting of staves on a sound-absorbing support and polyethylene sheets which function as a vapor barrier.

The result is an ecological floor- thanks to the components completely recyclable and environmentally friendly resins and adhesives – antistatic and antibacterial, resistant to abrasion and scratching (due to treatment with quartz powder), but especially functional to ensure perfect acoustic flooring.
