Construction of an elastic wooden flooring

PalaGeorge is a sports hall located in Montichiari (Bs) which has collected 20 years of success in the sports world. It was built in 1993 by the desire of the administration and was substituted for Palafiera (now inadequate for spectator capacity) and renamed with the name of the Indian volleyball player Jimmy George.For the construction of the flooring that would host all future successes of Marcello Gabana’s team (hosted by PalaGeorge until 2009) and the female Volleyball team of Montichiari, the municipal administration entrusted Mast with the construction of the game surface. The choice fell on a “Gazzotti Gem Floor” flooring: a revolutionary elastic wood flooring which had a deep effect on the evolution of the sports floor techniques.The high quality and perfect combination between the elastic lower structure and the upper surface which is particularly resistant against wear and tear, gave a result that the flooring of PalaGeorge is still greatly appreciated even today.
